At St Augustine's CE Primary School we are extremely proud of the quality of our lunchtime provision and of the high standards and commitment of our existing team.


The Governing Body are currently looking to appoint another Lunchtime Organiser to join the team in September 2023 and to contribute towards the smooth running of the school meals/packed lunch provision and the supervision of children at play.


  • The role is working 6.25 hours per week, termtime only. The post is a Grade 1, the starting prorata salary is £3,059 (the full time equivalent is £20,441).
  • Main purpose of the role
  • The role of Lunchtime Organiser is the supervision of the children in the dining areas and playgrounds to ensure that the children have a safe and happy environment at lunchtime.
  • Duties include supervising and assisting children in the dining room, maintaining a clean and safe environment for all users, encouraging good quality play outside and supervising the children's activitiesThe successful applicants must be able to:
  • Build excellent relationships with children
  • Work well as part of our existing team, committed to the welfare of our children
  • Be willing to develop and participate in playground and other outdoor learning games with our children
  • Look after the social, emotional and health aspects of all children


In addition, they must possess a willingness to participate in a range of training opportunities to learn and develop the skills essential for the role.
