We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our esteemed team at a reputable Special Educational Needs school in Oldham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs and supporting their educational development.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the class teacher to provide support and assistance to students with special educational needs.
Implement individualized learning plans and strategies to meet the specific needs of each student.
Promote an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Assist students with personal care, mobility, and other daily activities as required.
Support students in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials, and providing additional assistance during lessons.
Help create and maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment, utilizing appropriate resources and aids.
Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback and reporting to the class teacher.
Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and support staff, to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Promote social and emotional development, helping students build confidence, selfesteem, and positive relationships.
Assist with the organization of educational outings, extracurricular activities, and events.

Requirements:

Relevant experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs is highly desirable.
A genuine passion for working with individuals with special needs and a commitment to their overall wellbeing and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Patience, empathy, and resilience to effectively support students facing challenges.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students and handle unforeseen situations.
Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and practices relating to special educational needs would be advantageous.
A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
