Aon is currently recruiting a Capital Advisory Associate to join our team in London.

The Capital Advisory Associate will be primarily responsible for working on all aspects of capital advisory transactions (including placement of retrospective reserve covers and other capital transactions) as well as supporting advisory projects.

This role will help the Capital Advisory team continue providing excellent service levels to existing clients and markets as well as helping to seek new opportunities.

What the day will look like

Preparation of market submissions
- collect and analyse relevant information from clients and prepare market submissions, information memoranda, process letters and presentations for placements and M&A processes.
Transaction process management
- assist with the end-to-end management of transactions, including day to day interactions with markets and managing client expectations.
Market liaison
- plan and participate in market outreach programs, including regular catch up with market M&A teams.
Advisory projects
- providing a broad range of support to projects advising clients on effective capital allocation and management.
Cross border cooperation
- assist in cross border cooperation with our colleagues in different jurisdictions, including USA and Bermuda to ensure teams are well connected and aware of ongoing initiatives.
Promotion of products and services
- lead or take an active part in activities and initiatives aimed at promoting Aon's products and services in the marketplace (including but not limited to market research and proposal compilation). Take an active part in identifying new markets for Capital Advisory's products.
Quality control of documentation
- review and check documentation to ensure that it satisfies client requirements and other standards (e.g., regulatory). Also ensure that all such documentation is entered into Aon's systems in a timely manner.
Respecting Aon policies
- responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Proven track record with managing complex processes from start to finish, including strong project management skills.

Understands the role of capital adequacy in a clients' business strategy, effective translation of those needs, identifies appropriate partners, negotiation, statistical analysis and interpretation, legal parameters and content.

In depth understanding, consistently maintains a working knowledge of the client, manages expectations, introduction of new products.

Stays abreast of market developments and the client potential impact, has a good knowledge of key competitors, awareness of industry practices and Aon's regulatory controls.

Is prepared to make innovative recommendations, encourages others to make informed decisions, adopts a systematic approach, prepares contingency plans, proactively addresses challenges, considers broad long-term picture, communicates confidently with others.
