The Role:


As Payroll Associate you will assist the Head of Payroll with all aspects of payroll provision across SHL's 20+ global payrolls.

This role will work with HR and Finance staff to ensure monthly payrolls are processed accurately, on time and in line with locallaws and internal policies.

It will also contribute to significant ongoing process improvements, including changes in external payroll providers, enhancement of processing, review and payment stages, and the month end reporting process.


What you'll be doing:


You'll be part of a team who process the monthly payroll at a global level with strong focus on the EMEA region.

You'll ensure operational SOX controls are properly performed within the payroll process and collate & review all new hires, termination and othermonthly changes i.e.

commissions.

Data will be uploaded into the defined templates and distributed to payroll vendors while respecting payroll time frames and all output data for the monthly payroll reviewed in accordance with SOX controls, any changes maintained and payroll sign off obtained.

You will ensure all salaries and other payroll related payments are loaded onto the banking system with correct pay date & pay reference and process tax submissions where required.

You will oversee the Meal Vouchers process for applicable countries, ensure all key payroll controls are performed and fully documented and that staff queries are resolved within the agreed SLA.

Part of your role will be to contribute to ongoing process changes and improvements and assist with audit and compliance reviews.


The experience we are looking for:

We're looking for proven payroll experience at a global level, with a focus on the EMEA region for a substantial period of time.

You will have experience with international payroll processing requirements and regulations, end-to-end payroll processing for across multiple countries, preparing payroll tax and other regulatory returns and resolution of HR and staff queries.

You will ideally have experience of French payroll (if you're a French speaker that would be ideal) and/or experience of Italian/Belgium payroll
ADP experience is not a necessity but would be helpful, with a good comprehension of tax and wage laws.

In a busy environment, you will need to be capable of multitasking and adhering to internal or external operational deadlines, have experience of planning, managing and prioritising you workload and be able to deal with change.

It goes without saying that youwill good verbal and written communication skills.
A CIPP qualification desirable but not essential.
You must have the right to work in the UK.
