The Role


This is a great opportunity at Lancaster City Council, whom are developing a dedicated team for resident safety and managing the risks related to all areas of property compliance.


This includes the big 6:
asbestos, fire, gas, electrical systems, water hygiene, and lifting equipment. The team will be an integral part of Repairs & Maintenance Services (RMS).


You will play a key role in supporting a transformation programme to enhance our compliance services encouraging and promoting a positive culture across the Council.

This role is permanent. The hours of work for this post are 37 hours per week.


Lancaster City Council has unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030.

As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing both carbon emissions and the impacts of climate change.
