Head of Cybersecurity Operations

£900-£1000 (umbrella)

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and best practices to protect the organization's information systems and data.
  • Manage and oversee the daytoday operations of the cybersecurity team, including monitoring security events, analysing security logs, and investigating security incidents.
  • Oversee the Implementation and maintenance security controls and technologies, such as Vulnerability Management, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection systems.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure security standards and requirements are met, and work with IT and software development teams to integrate security into their processes.
  • Stay uptodate with emerging cyber threats and security trends and make recommendations for security improvements.
  • Conduct periodic security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Manage vendor relationships and thirdparty assessments to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Manage incident response and recovery efforts, and prepare incident response plans and playbooks.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Experience managing and leading small cybersecurity teams.
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection systems.
  • Familiarity with security standards and frameworks, such as SANS Incident Response Lifecycle, NIST CSF and CIS.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
