Job description

At Rising Stars Day Nursery we have a fantastic opening for a senior practitioner for a new childcare setting in the heart of Grovehill.

This is a good step up for someone that wants to further their career in childcare and take on more responsibilities.

We believe in providing the very best experiences within our nurseries.

We are looking for someone with the passion and drive to really push our settings to be the best it can be.

You will be working with a small team, having some key holder responsibilities and delegating to other members of your team.

You will have key children and carry out observations and reports on them also making them a scrap book for their time at nursery.

Role & Responsibilities

Promote our values and ethos to ensure that every child's individual needs are met in a safe and secure environment that is stimulating.
Ensure that all aspects of the Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage and welfare requirements are delivered to the highest standard.
Work in partnership with local childcare / education providers, health providers and all other agencies.
Be a role model for your staff team, empowering them to deliver high standards practice.
Work as a team with other practitioners and also using own initiative.
Have good partnership with parents
Have a good relationship with key children and carry out necessary observations and reports.

Our setting:

Our nursery is a full day care setting operating between 8am-6pm all year around. We are based in hemel hempstead.
We are a setting of 33 places.

We take the children on walks around the local area and have use of a private garden only a one minute walk away.

Essential qualifications and experience:

Hold a NVQ level 3 qualification in childcare or higher
Experience in childcare.
A passion to deliver a high quality childcare setting and a motivated workteam.
In-depth knowledge of the EYFS.
Great communication skills.
Reliable and honest.
Eligible to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
Able to use initiative and prioritise workload
