The Role:


As a member of the Apprenticeships Team, the Leadership & Management Tutor will plan for, teach, and support learners to complete their Apprenticeships.

They will achieve this through delivering online classroom and workplace-based sessions.


Our Apprenticeship division is growing, and we need to recruit to our existing team to ensure we can support our learners to progress in their careers and achieve their chosen qualifications with us.

You will be contributing to a transformative apprenticeship experience that focuses on the individual growth of our learners.

This role will be hybrid / remote with delivery online and face to face at our client's premises.


Key Areas of Responsibility:


  • Plan and deliver engaging and exciting training sessions to inspire and motivate learners in an online classroom and workplace environment, depending on learner requirements.
  • To prepare and review session plans, scheme of work and teaching/learning materials using initial assessments and marked work to consider the learners' individual needs.
  • Developing robust plans for each learner's unique learning journey, showcasing deliberate and wellstructured progress from their starting point
  • Prepare learners for End Point Assessment
  • Continually monitor and review learners' progress.
  • Assist in the writing, design, and development of curriculum through planning time and standardisation meetings.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and progress.
  • To consistently deliver high standards of teaching and learning.
  • To provide learners with onetoone support in a contextualised setting.
  • Act on feedback from teaching observations, employer & learner feedback, and other feedback mechanisms.
  • Support the department with contributing to the SAR And QIP
  • Undertake necessary training to professionally develop and keep abreast with current practices and legislation within the sector (as required).
  • Attend planning and coordination meetings as required.
  • To provide accurate and timely formative and summative assessment and feedback to learners, and maintain feedback records, including tracking and reporting of learner progress in line with the organisation's policy.
  • Complete qualification administration to required standards for awarding body and verified by IQA/EQA, with support from the Apprenticeship administration team.
  • Engaging with quality management processes to ensure that teaching maintains Outstanding OFSTED standards.

The Person:


Education:


  • Holds a teaching qualification, ideally a Diploma in Education and Training (DET)
  • Holds Level 2 in English / Maths

Experience:


  • Prior experience of teaching Level 3 Team Leader / Supervisor & Level 5 Operations / Departmental Manager apprenticeship standards
  • Experience of teaching in a further education environment both online and face to face
  • Understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and Wider Learning activities.
  • Experience of using online learning platforms, such as OneFile.
  • Experience of working within the Construction Sector and / or Civil Engineering would be advantageous

40 hours per week with 1 hour unpaid for lunch
