Job Title Healthwatch Stockport Communications Lead

You will be working within the passionate team at Healthwatch Stockport to develop and implement effective communications and activities for members, volunteers, and stakeholders.

You will create and optimise content for the website, digital newsletters, print publications, blogs and social networking sites including producing videos.

You will ensure consistency in terms of voice, branding, messaging, and frequency of posting via all our communication channels.

You will also be expected to effectively engage with our members and stakeholders about health and social care issues in Stockport and be able to create surveys and generate reports from survey and engagement activity findings.

You will:

• Have relevant Communications/Engagement qualifications and/or experience.
• Have experience of developing and managing Communication and Engagement strategies/plans
• Have experience of producing regular communication content [social media, newsletters, bulletins, media articles, blogs etc.]
• Have experience in updating and maintaining websites particularly Drupal
• Have excellent IT skills including experience of

Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Canva and databases etc.

• Have excellent written communication, organisational and planning skills including organising key engagement events
• Have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills including presenting to a range of key audiences
• Have the ability to interpret information to identify trends and issues and present this information in reports
• Be a motivated selfstarter able to manage and prioritise own workload, achieve targets and meet deadlines
• Have experience of working with volunteers and colleagues across the voluntary and community sector, as well as the health and care sector demonstrating excellent liaison skills
• Have a passion for involving the voice of local people in improving services for them and their families
• Have the ability to demonstrate a positive and nonjudgmental approach and manage conflict situations
• Committed to working flexibly to meet the needs of Healthwatch Stockport, including some evening or weekend work

About the Role

Job Title:

Hours:
The hours are up to 35 per week and there is opportunity to work flexibly by agreement


Salary range:24, ,845


Working location:

We have an office based in Stockport and we aim to be as visible as possible to our Stockport residents.

There is also the opportunity to work some hours flexibly from home.


Reporting arrangements:
The Communications lead will report to the Chief Officer.
