The opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for a Business Auditor to join the UK Audit team.


You will support the Auditor in Charge across different aspects of the end to end delivery of an audit across different Lines of Businesses (local and global) in line with Group Audit standards.

What will you be doing?

  • Building an indepth understanding of Group Audit standards and methodology.
  • Assisting the Auditor in Charge primarily in the fieldwork stage of an audit, with a view to supporting the full end to end process.
  • Participating in local and global audits, completing audit work, and document audit results in line with Group Audit standards.
  • Operating with minimum supervision on smaller assignments, with sufficient guidance and subsequent review.
  • Agreeing on corrective actions and delivering the final output, i.e. concluded testing programmes, with support from the Auditor in Charge.
  • Tracking the implementation of agreed actions.
  • Developing own knowledge and business awareness by reviewing available resources and interacting with multiple stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the Group Audit global team through own professional skills, technical knowledge and innovative initiatives / projects.

What are we looking for?

  • Working, or prepared to work, towards a professional qualification such as CIA, CISA or equivalent will be required.
  • Some knowledge of audit standards, principles of internal controls, processes, assessment and design of compliance testing
  • Some understanding of complex environments, emerging technologies and related risk and controls frameworks.
  • Ability to deliver highquality audit results in a dynamic environment
  • Good project management, analytical, innovative thinking, problem solving and communications skills, innovative thinking mindset, expertise in insurance would be a strong asset preferably in an internal audit and/or external audit environment
