We're seeking a talented communicator with a passion for storytelling and a keen interest in politics to join our team.
As Press Officer you will be a key member of our dynamic and busy Communications team, responding to and helping to shape the daily news agenda, and spotting opportunities for the Mayor and South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) to make an impact.
You will advise colleagues and help raise the profile of Mayor and SYMCA, while informing the media, public and partners of the work we're doing to help make South Yorkshire a better place to live, work and do business.
We're looking for someone with experience working in a busy, fast-paced press office, agency or newsroom, used to balancing projects and working to tight deadlines.
Someone who can convey information in a clear and persuasive style while generating creative ideas for content and ways to communicate.
