**Internal Communications & Engagement Executive; 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

  • Leeds
  • Remote role (some travel to Leeds once a month)**
    Salary £15,000 PA ( 6 month FTC)


We're looking for a creative Communications & Engagement Executive (FTC) to join our Internal Comms department, as part of our wider HR and People team.

This role would be perfect for a Marketing Graduate, looking to start their career in Marketing & Communications.

Or we would look at the role being part-time for someone with great experience (minimum of 3 days a week)

What to expect?


Working collaboratively together with our Head of Internal Communications & Engagement, you will write in a way that is friendly and engaging, breaking down the jargon, making the information easy to read and digest.

Alongside your creative writing, you will be responsible for some design work so some experience of using Canva, the Adobe Suite or other design software would be great.

You'll also be involved in liaising with internal departments, ensuring our communications schedule is up to date and on track and of course, we'll involve you in lots of projects too.


As an Internal Communications & Engagement Executive you will ensure that all communications and engagement activities are delivered on time, to plan and meet the required business need.

You will also help to coordinate and administer all elements of the Communications and Engagement agenda.

Working closely to with the Head of Internal Communications & Engagement, you will plan communication schedules, drafting content, create artwork, update the company intranet, help create and administer Colleague Engagement Surveys and initiatives, provide support on key projects and be an ambassador for Simpson Millar.


You will be involved in day-to-day activities including:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily management of the intranet, publishing and updating content
  • Drafting news articles and building internal weekly newsletters
  • Designing onbrand visual assets
  • Assisting with the delivery of Engagement projects
  • Assist with hosting firmwide events (face to face and virtual)

We are ideally looking for someone with:

  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills
  • Attention to detail, methodical and organised
  • Good interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Creative with the ability to create impactful visual assets
  • Able to manage multiple tasks
  • Experience of drafting content for a large and diverse audiences
  • Track record of delivering multiple priorities on time.

Salary:
A competitive salary of up to £15, month FTC)
