Role Summary


The Compliance and Legal Platform Manager for GRCLS is responsible for developing, maintaining and ensuring the effective operation and engagement across EQ Group of the Compliance and Legal systems.

Notably the Logicgate, HighQ, DocuSign and Luminance platformsdelivering a best in class solution for the group. The role will coordinates with our EQ India support teams in delivery of the solutions.

Challenging the activities and behaviours of the business lines in connection to those areas noted above.

The Compliance and Legal Platform Manager provides effective compliance management support and engagement to all parts of the Group and provides appropriately resourced specialist regulatory compliance support to the Group's activities


Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and management of the systems, to constantly build best in class experiences for internal users;
  • Maintain oversight of nominated systems and coordinate service governance with the vendors
  • Primary point of contact for vendors and management of the finance aspects;
  • Ensuring policy, practices or behaviour throughout the business are aligned with the company's purpose, values and strategy;
  • Providing input and guidance on necessary functions and roles for the Group to meet its regulatory requirements;
  • Ensuring that workforce policies and practices are consistent with the company's values and support its longterm sustainable success;
  • Working effectively across Group where required;

Engagement

  • Establishing effective training and education opportunities to promote awareness throughout the firm in respect of regulatory requirements and conduct rule behaviour;
  • Providing valued and valueformoney advice and guidance to group business units and management of compliance issues, including contract revisions and review of new and proposed products and services against regulatory permissions and authorisations;
  • Promoting a compliance and risk review culture throughout the group functions;
  • Presenting advice and solutions to enable business units to make informed decisions;
  • Acting as an ambassador for GRCLS team;
  • Probing facts and opinions to identify underlying customer needs;
  • Assisting staff to meet and exceed customer service standards by fostering the right approach to engagement, fairness and transparency through conduct;

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

  • Strong leadership qualities, acting as a role model;
  • Understanding of process design concepts, structured thinking for solutions and system API linkages;
  • Practical experience of operating a policy framework within a financial services business;
  • Strong influencing skills and an ability to operate effectively within a management framework;
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Efficiency in managing priorities and adapting quickly to change;
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines;
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
