E Park and Sons Ltd are a leading packer and wholesaler of fresh potatoes to many blue-chip retail customers and food processors.


An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and knowledgeable professional to oversee the day-to-day activities of our dedicated Quality Team at our BRCGS AA+ accredited packing operation in our state-of-the-art factory in Epworth, Doncaster.


This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with excellent knowledge of HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, Food safety culture and BRCGS to join our team.


Main Responsibilities include:


  • Day to day supervision of the Production Quality Team.
  • Internal auditing of Prerequisites and customer and BRCGS to current standard
  • Ensuring that activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality, food safety, health and safety, legal compliance, policies and procedures
  • Maintaining, reviewing and improving Quality Systems to ensure their ongoing effectiveness and relevance.
  • Maintaining and controlling Food Safety Systems; BRCGS, HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, and GMP.
  • Assist with customer/certification audits.
  • Assist with customer specifications.
  • Assist in the implementation of new or amended quality systems and procedures to improve food safety and quality and ensure adherence to standards/procedures.
  • Providing training / instruction where appropriate.
  • Investigating nonconformities and out of specification.
  • Escalation of any product quality issues to Technical Manager and Production Shift Manager, with solutions.
  • Ensure that full traceability is achieved for every batch of product through accurate recording of paperwork.
  • Report daily staff holidays and absence to the department manager.
  • Carrying out all responsibilities and practices with the aim of producing food safely and to required internal and external specifications within a HACCP framework.

Key Experience & Requirements:


  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment within the food industry (potato industry desirable)
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of BRCGS v
  • Highly knowledgeable in regard to food safety systems, HSE and due diligence
  • HACCP Level 3 qualified (desirable)
  • Internal audit certificate (desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar handson management role in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience of root cause analysis / quality tools and techniques
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to achieve consistently high levels of accuracy
  • Clear communicator with strong leadership skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to deliver initiatives and continuous improvement programs


This a full-time permanent position working 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, some occasional weekend or night working may be involved with this role.
