My client is the UK's leading Trade Association in the Automation and Mechanical sectors and due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Relationship Manager / Sales exec to join their friendly team.

The role is very much aligned to managing existing relationships and duties will include:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with clients in the manufacturing sector
  • Updating clients on recent industry news and making them aware of the advantages of membership such as discounted training courses for their members of staff on a wide range of topics
  • Promoting exhibitor space for the organisation's annual exhibition which is the largest in the UK
  • Attending client entertainment days such as driving, shooting, sporting / cultural events etc
  • Securing leads for new business / new clients
  • Promoting membership of the Trade Association
  • Working collectively as a team to ensure business generation and client retention targets are achieved.
Applicants are likely to be mature, experienced Relationship Managers with a track record of maintaining B2B relationships.

This is not a hard sales role as most relationships are already in place and my client are already the leading organisation in theirfield and bonuses are paid on a team basis so there isn't the individual target pressure that comes with most sales roles.

Whilst based in Surrey there will be some travel to client events and exhibitions, but this is relatively infrequent, and all expensesare paid.
