Policy and Project Officer - Homelessness and Migration


Job:

Homelessness and Migration Project and Policy Officer,


Hours:
36.25 hours per week


Contract:
Fixed term till March 2025


Location:

Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Tootal Building, 54 Oxford Road, Manchester (with a flexible hybrid approach).

Your Role:


This role will provide support to deliver a range of high profile and important programmes of work that aim to end homelessness and other forms of disadvantage and inequality in Greater Manchester.

You will be part of a wider team working collectively to deliver our vision of good lives for all in the city region.


The role will focus on two projects in the first instance the Young Person's Homelessness Prevention Pathfinder and the Greater Manchester Refugee Integration Partnership, a project supporting refugees to settle and find employment in our city-region.

You will work with programme leads to support with governance and reporting, audit and financial processes, stakeholder engagement, and wider project activity.

Through delivery of programmes, we identify learning for policy makers both locally and nationally.


You'll also provide flexible policy and admin support for our wider work across Homelessness and Migration, with a focus on supporting the development of the GM's inclusion strategy for non-UK nationals.


This is a meaningful role; you will be playing a part in demonstrably reducing and preventing homelessness and helping to ensure that Greater Manchester is a place where everyone can thrive.
