About the Head of Production job:

The purpose of your role will be to take full ownership of the factory operations at a brand-new, state-of-the-art food production facility.


This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a growing team and play a key role in the direction of the business within the senior leadership team.


Key tasks:


  • Lead a small but growing team across production, packing and quality.
  • Oversee the facility being successfully moved towards BRC accreditation.
  • Ensure strategic processes are in place to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Lead and mentor your team, embedding a strong culture that mirrors the business's core values of Passion, Good Food, Equality, Sustainability and Kindness.
  • Have direct accountability for all Operations including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technical Compliance, Health and Safety, and Engineering.
  • Play a key role in other business functions such as HR, Recruitment, Procurement and Process Innovation.

About You:


You will be a highly experienced and well-rounded senior Production or Operations specialist with a strong food industry track record.

This role would suit someone with a forward-thinking mindset and driven approach.


Experience working in a start-up food business in which you played a lead role in, or project managed the transition from a small-scale to a large-scale food production operation is highly preferred.


Key skills:


  • Experience within chilled and short shelflife food production and can relate to the planned operational processes.
  • Extensive experience operating in a SALSA environment and ideally knowledge required for achieving and retaining BRC accreditation
  • Vast knowledge of improving processes and systems within a complex food production environment.
  • Pragmatic and selfassured style, strong leadership qualities with proven experience in building, growing, and developing effective teams and sites.
  • Experience in engineering best practices, QA, demand planning and logistics among other areas of business.
  • Ability to drive down to the granular detail of production to ensure efficiency.

The Head of Production job is based in West London and is paying £50,000 - £65,000 according to your experience.

The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm.
