Electrical Design Engineer

Salary:
Circa £45-50,000pa (negotiable, depending on experience)

Our client is searching for an experienced Electrical Engineer with good understanding of electrical control systems.

They are looking for someone with (ideally) a minimum of 5 years' experience in a design or manufacturing environment, along with a qualification equivalent to HND or higher in Electrical Engineering

From time to time, there will be the requirement to liaise with the production team to see designs through the factory to completion, as well as supporting other departments with fault finding and training.

Other Key Responsibilities

Use of AutoCAD LT to design new and modify existing systems
Support the design team with prototype build of panels, harnesses and other hardware
Produce documentation to help build and fault find electrical systems
Support production team with build of electrical systems
Ensure designs are safe and compliant with regulations

Skills & experience required

Proficient with AutoCAD LT
Knowledge of electrical standards, especially the Low Voltage Directive and EN60204
Familiar with the requirement for CE marking including EMC
Experience of Siemens PLC programming is desirable but not essential
Able to work as part of the R&D team as well as acting as support for production
