Senior Payroll Specialist
We are a leading industrial technology company that develops sensors, sensor-based solutions, including controllers and software, and other mission-critical products to create valuable business insights for customers and end users.
The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for leading the delivery of a robust and accurate payroll function across our EU operation.
General Responsibilities
- Leads processing the payroll with speed and accuracy
- Audits employee record and reconciles totals by department / location / country etc.
- Ensures appropriate amounts or deductions are calculated and applied to any necessary amounts
- Leads the verification of compliance to all local, state, and federal policies / laws and requirements
- Performs internal audits, workers compensation situations, tax filing and other related documentation
- Leads in specialized tasks or activities such as stock option exercises, SEC document filing, or sales commission calculation reviews
Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Must be a team player able to work in a fastpaced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds selfaccountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Specific Responsibilities - Responsible for daytoday operation of Payroll Services for UK and other EU locations and drive for continuous improvement.
- Guide the team of specialists, responsible for the team' s development and motivation.
- Work closely with HR Business Partners Centre of Excellence to provide excellent service to employees and managers.
- Participates in developing and implementing Shared Services concept in HR function across sites.
- Participates or lead different improvement projects to support local/regional/global initiatives by using sustainable process improvement tools.
- Represent the company to the respective 3rd party service providers in the region.
Specific Experience
Essential
- At least 4 years' commercial experience with an international company in a Payroll Function
- Knowledge of different Payroll Delivery Models (e.g., inhouse, managed services)
- Strong knowledge of UK Payroll Legislation
- Good understanding of processing both Government and Company Pension Schemes and administering the monthly submissions
Desirable
- Experience of a Shared Services model.
- Experience of multijurisdiction payroll support within EU countries
- Experience of leading/guiding Team members
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
Salary:
£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
