Responsible for providing a high quality service for cleaning, inspection, assembly and packing of reusable surgical equipment.

Plan & prioritise own workload to Provide Staff Training, supporting all individuals across all areas of Decontamination environment.


Liaise & communicate with staff and management both orally and in writing to maintain effective high levels of service delivery.

Computer literacy can be an essential part of the Role.

Monitor and maintain a safe working environment.

Undertake any other duties or tasks as reasonably required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Safe efficient practices for Decontamination, instrument assembly & Sterilisation of instruments & equipment within predefined Quality standards and documented policies for best practise throughout the department.

Ensuring that operational Activities fully comply with all required Health & Safety procedures & guidelines.

Utilise & share knowledge.

Monitor, maintain & record all department Quality Assurance Records in accordance with Quality Management System.

Provide initial training to all staff in the use of Tracking & Tracing System.
