We are currently looking for a Quality Specialist with experience in CMM to join our team.

Key Performance Indicators:

This role will be office based working closely with the Production Engineering sections
Purpose of role is to ensure that first time products are properly planned to ensure the correct quality requirements are achieved in a timely manner to allow on time delivery and right first time methodology.
RFQs signed off within prescribed timescale
Quality documentation ready to ensure on time delivery of new products

Main Duties and responsibilities:

Attend RFQ meetings and ensure quality is at the forefront of these.
Attend all project meetings ensuring that compliance is maintained. Adopt APQP methodology.
Put together with help if needed the FAIR pack ensuring documentation is to the latest revision.
Carry out offline programing of CMM, VMM, Scanning arm and some initial measurements on new projects.
Support the Quality staff with understanding of measurement techniques and tolerance methodology.
Report progress weekly on the quality aspect of new projects and any concerns to Quality Manager and Lead Engineer
Support and develop the Production Engineers with correct practice for tolerance of drawings.
Sign off drawings as suitably checked for use in production on behalf of the Quality Department
Sign off RFQ's on behalf of quality and refer any concerns to the Quality Manager.
Liaise with the Section Coordinator
Quality to ensure quality resource is available when needed to support new projects.
