VolkerTrenchless Solutions (VTS) is a 50/50 joint venture between Visser & Smit Hanab (NL) and VolkerStevin Ltd who are both part of the VolkerWessels group.

We have our own in-house engineering division, extensive range of HDD rigs, dedicated staff and being European leaders in executing simple to complex HDD projects.

With the added value of our UK/NL partnership we are also able to provide civils and project management support to our specialist drilling activities in the UK to the highest standard.

We are looking for a Sub Agent to assist with delivering multiple trenchless crossings for the Hornsea 3 onshore cable route of behalf of Orsted.

The project, is based in numerous locations in Norfolk

Key accountabilities:

Accountable for:

SHEQ performance of the site.
Identification of change / risk / opportunity and feedback to Portfolio PM for resolution.
Production / review / monitoring of RAMS / ITP's to ensure compliance with business standards, policies and procedures.
Accountable for provision of accurate asbuilt documentation.
Accountable for thirdparty liaison during the constructionphase (including enabling works) supported by the third party/customer team.
Accountable for production & issue of Weekly Progress Reports of the site from a SHEQ perspective.

Responsible for:

Delivering the works safely, with overall responsibility for management of the site, including both civils construction and MEICA installation works:
Ensure that the site's culture, engagement and standards follow the principles of Safety Ripple through the seven pillars and all project team members align with it.
Be familiar with and observe all relevant statutory provisions applicable to construction and related industries.
Implement the company's procedures for managing and dealing with subcontractors
Provide an overall Site Management Plan (SMP) and Environmental Control Plan (ECP) for each site, making an adequate assessment of the risks involved, and ensuring that safe systems of work and method statements are produced, followed and reviewed. Ensure that both of these documents are reviewed and kept updated throughout the lifecycle of the constructionphase.
Ensure that all UU Works Authorisations are in place, and that adequate measures are in place to segregate activities from UU operational activities where applicable. Agree where HAZCON Meetings are required with the UU Construction Supervisor and ensure these are held prior to works commencing typically where there is an interface with UU existing operational assets.

Skills & experience:

Proven technical
Organisational skills
Knowledge of the requirements and implementation of CDM Regulations
Ability to produce Work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe systems of work
Knowledge of Safety, Quality and Environmental issues
Experience in civil engineering
