In a post covid-19 world, emergency planning and business continuity are at the forefront of the University's agenda.

To be dynamic in incident planning and response is key to ensuring recovery and continuity of teaching, learning, researching and professional services.


Our new approach to recovery and business continuity and our ambitious plans for the future, make this an exciting time to join the UCLan SHE Department.

We are seeking a dynamic forward-thinking individual, with a proven ability to influence and succeed within a complex and fast paced environment.


  • Prepare, review, test and maintain emergency and business continuity plans
  • Engage in meetings with internal departments and external partners and stakeholders to ensure best practice and parity across business areas and organisations
  • Provide support to the emergency management team during spontaneous and preplanned incidents/operations
  • Assist in the design, creation and delivery of Business Continuity Training


Experience of working in the field of operations resilience, including emergency planning and or/business continuity planning or a degree in one or more of those fields or equivalent experiential learning is essential.

An ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and initiative is essential as is an ability to influence positively at all levels in the University as well as manage your own workload to meet deadlines.
