HAYWARD HAWK is proud to be working a recognised organisation in their search for a an Accounts Assistant to join their Belfast office. This Company has over 4 years' experience working within the NI & GB merchanting market with over 500 branches across he UK & NI. Due to continuous growth they now seek an Accounts Assistant to join their team in Belfast


The role:


You will join the management accounts team as a Accounts Assistant where you will assist with daily finance tasks and be closely involved with the monthly management accounts process.


The Duties

  • Processing petty cash
  • Posting journals to the finance system
  • Setting up payment templates and processing payments on bankline as required
  • Writing cheques and recording details
  • Raising manual invoices as requested and maintaining the manual invoice register
  • Monthly reconciliation of control accounts including bank reconciliations
  • Assistant with TSS declarations
  • Various other accounts/administrative tasks as they arise

The Person

  • Third level relevant qualification (desirable)
  • Experience in relevant finance role for at least 2 years
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Willingness to learn with a "can do" attitude
  • Selfmotivated, quick learner with excitement and passion for this position
  • An organised and proactive person, who can work on their own initiative
  • Strong time management skills
  • Able to easily prioritise tasks, consistently meet deadlines and ensure time is used effectively
  • Enjoy problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills and able to communicate at all levels within the organisation both internally and externally
  • Highly numerate and analytical individual with keen attention to detail

£22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
