Eagle Genomics is a pioneering company working at the intersection of microbiome, bioinformatics and technology. We leverage innovative computational approaches to unravel complex biological systems. We are seeking a talented Computational Biologist with expertise in network science to join our dynamic team.


Network Analysis:
Design and implement computational algorithms for the analysis of biological networks for deployment on our e[datascientist] platform.


Integration of Multi-Omics Data:
Integrate diverse omics data, including microbiomic, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics, to construct comprehensive biological networks.


Data Visualization:


Work with product designers to develop intuitive and insightful visualizations to communicate insight derived from complex biological networks to our clients.


Collaboration:


Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including bioinformaticians, and data scientists, to drive collaborative projects and enhance the overall research strategy.


Stay Current:


Keep abreast of the latest advancements in computational biology, network science, and related fields, and incorporate new methodologies into ongoing projects.


Requirements:


Educational Background:
PhD or equivalent in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.


Experience:


Programming Skills:
Proficiency in R (essential), Python, Linux and version control with GitHub. Experience with relevant bioinformatics tools and databases. Experience of software development in a commercial setting would be advantageous.


Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Team Player:
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.


Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for developing and implementing creative solutions.
