We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at The Lighthouse, a specialist residential home for young people aged with complex mental health needs and associated risk-taking behaviors.


About Us:

The Lighthouse provides a therapeutic environment for young people with complex mental health challenges. As part of the Priory health division, we are committed to delivering high-quality care and support to our residents.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Providing highquality care and support to young people according to their individual care plans.
  • Assisting residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Promoting independence and encouraging residents to engage in therapeutic activities and interventions.
  • Monitoring and documenting resident progress and behaviors, and reporting any concerns or changes to the appropriate personnel.
  • Leading and supporting a team of care staff to ensure the delivery of personcentered care and adherence to therapeutic principles.
  • Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations and therapeutic practices.

Requirements:


  • Experience in a similar role within the healthcare or social care sector is desirable.
  • Willingness to undergo training and obtain necessary qualifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to support young people with complex mental health needs.

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
