Due to Hewland's continued expansion and strong product portfolio across both motorsport and future automotive, we are looking to recruit a hands-on Project Manager to oversee Programs development and deliveries with a high focus on design and productionengineering activities.

Hewland Engineering is relied upon by many of the world's top motorsport teams, performance car constructors, and hybrid and electric transportation innovators to extract the performance and reliability they require to get their high-performancetransmission challenges done. Whatever the nature of motorsport or vehicle engineering project might be, Hewland provides off-the-shelf and bespoke solutions along with design consulting and manufacturing expertise.

_Duties and responsibilities:
_


  • Own the oversight of the development and delivery of all projects, including new product introductions
  • Create and coordinate projects delivery plans that include timing plan, resource plan, budget, and deliverables targets
  • Support the sales team in submitting projects proposals to clients (resource, budget, timing estimations, feasibility)
  • Monitor projects progress & performance and guide teams to ensure ontime and rightfirsttime delivery
  • Define, analyse, and communicate KPIs on projects progress status
  • Communicate projects progress internally and to customers on a regular basis
  • Be the main point of contact between Hewland and the customers during the development & delivery phases of programs
  • Coordinate weekly projects review meetings
  • Be a pivot between all business departments to ensure smooth delivery of programs with a focus on program progress monitoring, program cost and manufacturing/assembly operations
  • Manage change to the agreed scope, identifying the financial impact that must be reported to linemanager and customers
  • Report and escalate any significant concerns that impact upon client expectations
  • Support business transformation activities and be part of continuous improvement team
  • Support the creation and maintenance of best practices
  • Improve, develop and implement project management structure and processes, ensuring they are maintained once in place
  • Perform program data analysis and lessons learned
  • Support cost reduction analysis activities
  • Handson Project Manager individual with at least 5year experience in project management preferably in a design environment, but can also be a manufacturing environment and ideally in automotive/aerospace/motorsport industry
  • Foundation degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Process/Mechanical engineering (at least 1 area)
  • Experience with planning, managing, delegating and risk mitigating
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle
  • Proficient with data analysis
  • Proficient with Microsoft tools (Excel, Powerpoint,)
  • Working knowledge of project management tools (Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet,)
  • Customer expectations awareness and customer services experience
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, logical approach
  • Understand manufacturing processes both internally and at Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers
  • Adhere to all Quality, Health + Safety and Environmental Policy's, Manuals, Objectives, Process, Procedures and Work Instructions

  • Experience in high volume manufacturing environment (preferably automotive/aerospace/motorsport)
  • Experience in continuous improvement projects
  • 6 Sigma Green or Black belt
  • Experience in APQP and PPAP
  • Project Management degree or training is a plus
