Catering Assistant Role Purpose:

There has never been a more exciting time to join the Hospitality Department at Wentworth Woodhouse and be part of one of the most significant regeneration projects of this generation.

Due to the significant growth we have delivered in the last year we have a new opportunity for an ambitious individual to work alongside the catering team supporting the development and growth of our catering operation.

Wentworth Woodhouse is seeking catering assistants to support our hospitality and café business. In the past year, the catering offer has expanded significantly. The house has new kitchens, bar, as well as hot and cold garden food offers. We are a seven-day week business and are working towards a significant hospitality operation. As part of the catering team, the post holder will ensure our customer's expectations are met every time. They will operate the front of house area with care and pride. The role will require regular weekend work.

Catering Assistant Role Duties:

Deliver excellent customer service
Serve drinks, cakes and food from the tea room, and as part of hospitality delivered on site.
Leads by example, promotes our values and supports the team to be the best
Serve food from the kitchen
Clearing and cleaning of tables
Washing dishes and general cleaning.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

Willingness to work in a busy food service environment
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to manage a number of tasks and remain calm.
Demonstrate great customer service
The ability to follow instructions but also act on own initiative
Smart appearance and confident in dealing with the public.
Remain calm in a busy environment
