Job Description Summary:

The Aftermarket Sourcing Specialist is an integral part of the Aftermarket value stream and is dedicated to supporting multiple teams in all aspects of Aftermarket repairs support.


The scope of the role is wide ranging, requiring the job holder to engage with a variety of supply chain tasks from vendor management, supporting rotable material fulfilment and workshop administration.

The job holder will be in frequent dialogue with suppliers, internal stakeholders and Customer Program Management.

Sourcing/Vendor Management:


  • Creation of compliant purchase orders to support business and customer needs
  • Drive resolution to purchase queries, non conformance, corrective actions to maintain material availability.
  • Ensure lead time parameters are maintained
  • Orderly administration and retention of records
  • Identify and assess supplier performance
  • Ensure supplier process is completed in accordance with GE Process and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Ensure supplier delivery commitments are understood and communicated to the business.
  • Where the supplier delivery commitment does not support business requirements, take the lead in working with supplier to develop a recovery plan, pulling in other business functions to resolve issues
  • Update and progress Non-Conformance arisings in TipQA QMS
  • Coordinate with planning, sourcing and operations to ensure internal/external spares deliveries are executed within a timely manner between BCO/BCR.
  • Optimize material availability and process improvements.
  • Develop strong crossfunctional relationships with BUL, Spares IPT, Facilitators, internal suppliers, Programs, and Technicians.
  • Act on critical needs through daily CCC and BUCC communications.

Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Experience in Supply Chain Sourcing/ Material Fulfilment
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to coordinate several requirements simultaneously
  • Highly motivated with personal credibility and the ability to influence internally and externally
  • Ability to work on own initiative
