We are eager to find a senior-level Technical Writer to establish and build a team to create and publish technical content for users of our Monotype Fonts product.

To succeed in this role you need to have a passion for user-centered content that's clear, concise, and relevant.

You need to be creative and collaborative in working with a worldwide network of engineers, product managers, and customer success experts.

You need to have a desire for continual learning and always be on the lookout for better ways to work.

And of course you need a strong set of core skills to develop and deliver content that helps our customers get the most value out of Monotype Fonts.


In this role you will improve upon and expand our existing knowledge base of articles and design the information model for a new Help Center.

You will also work closely with our Digital Experience and Customer Support teams to establish processes for creating, reviewing, and publishing content.


  • What you'll be doing_
- :_

  • Understand and advocate for technical documentation best practices and standards.
  • Establish and maintain an effective and efficient process for creating, reviewing and publishing content.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, User Experience, and Customer Support to understand end user needs.
  • Develop deep knowledge of Monotype Fonts.
  • Define content requirements based on highlevel requirements from engineering and product management.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Product Management, and Support to ensure the completeness and accuracy of technical content.
  • Design the content architecture of our Help Center.
  • Monitor web analytics for the Help Center and support tickets to identify highimpact topics.
  • Help recruit, hire, and train additional technical writers.
  • What we're looking for:_
  • Excellent English writing skills and ability to write for translation.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally with UX Designers, Customer Support Engineers, and Software Engineers.
  • Knowledge of how to integrate content development best practices with engineering methodologies such as Agile and Kanban.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Experience building an online Help Center. Knowledge of the Intercom platform a plus.
  • Knowledge of topicbased authoring and information typing.
  • Basic knowledge of web design and HTML.
  • Team management experience a plus.
