Description
Croma Vigilant are seeking professional Control Room Operators to join our team within a prestigious site in Edinburgh City Centre.
This is a full-time role, 42 hours per week,
We offer a competitive rate of pay of £13.14 per hour and you will be entitled to 19.6 days holiday per annum, including bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and adhere to the strategic direction of the client
- To monitor the CCTV, fire, and security systems, ensuring that all security processes are adhered to including Key Management and associated reports.
- Ensuring CCTV systems are utilised, the code of practice and processes are observed and the Data Protection Act 2018 is followed to ensure electronic patrols are effective and system use is optimised
- Ability to work using your own initiative
- Reporting and associated paperwork & documentation including detailed handovers.
- Promote appropriate communication and harmonious working amongst the team
- Ensuring that the Quarter remains safe and secure at all times
- Ensure that all incidents are reported and responded to correctly and incident reports completed where required.
- Ensure daily tasks are completed and recorded
- Support the continual development of working practises and maintain an excellent knowledge of all sites
- Provide a consistent professional service at all times
- Ensure no unauthorised persons allowed within prohibited areas including Control Room
- Ensure radios are fully charged and booked out correctly
- Ensuring all H&S policies are adhered to
Person Specification
- Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self
- Maintain competence with security systems
- Experience in technical systems and excellent verbal communication skills
- Previous experience in operating CCTV systems and radio systems
- Ability to remain calm and confident under pressure and work within strict time limits
- Have an ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports.
- Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levels
- Immaculate presentation
- Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality at all times
- Able to be vetted back 5 years or since leaving compulsory education
- Provide support to the wider team when required
- CCTV licence
- SIA licence
