Description

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Research Fellow to be part of the Born in Bradford team working specifically on JU: MP the Bradford Local Delivery Pilot (LDP) and an evaluation of a school-based Dance intervention.

The Bradford LDP is an initiative which aims to improve health and wellbeing for children and young people in some of the most deprived communities in Bradford by promoting physical activity.

Born in Bradford (on behalf of Active Bradford) is one of 12 sites in England which has been chosen to work with Sport England to create innovative solutions to make it easier for communities to access sport and physical activity.


The Research Fellow will work under the supervision of a JU: MP Senior Research Fellow and alongside other (Senior) Research Fellows and will be a key member of the LDP team. The post-holder will work in collaboration with members of the Bradford Institute for Health Research, Born in Bradford, Active Bradford, local families, academics, and other stakeholders both locally and nationally.

The Research Fellow will be an embedded researcher for the transition phase of JU: MP.

The post holder will primarily be responsible for mobilising established evidence and creating new knowledge through participatory, rapid evaluation, to maximise impact of JU:
MP locally.

The Research Fellow will develop a close working relationship with the delivery team, conduct empirical research, and facilitate regular process learning sessions.

The role will also involve co-ordinating and delivering an evaluation of a school-based Dance intervention, which involves a range of participatory, qualitative methodologies with children and school stakeholders.
