Job Summary


The post holder will be responsible for reporting the monthly Income & Expenditure position and providing financial support and advice for the cluster (or services & departments) they have designated to them.

They will work closely with the cluster manager (or other relevant service manager or head of department) and other budget holders/clinical managers within the organisation's management structure.

This will include production of accurate and timely monthly accounts, completion of review and analysis of monthly
accounts, production of forecasts, setting budgets and proactive investigation in to finance related issues.

The post holder will also ensure that the Divisional Head of Finance is fully informed of the financial performance and plans of the designated cluster (or services and departments).

The postholder may need to deputise for the Divisional Head of Finance on an ad-hoc basis.


The post holder is expected to make a positive contribution to the overall objectives of the cluster (or services and departments); this will include training and coaching of finance and non-financial staff.

As a member of the Financial Management team they will also play a part in the delivery of departmental objectives and be expected to devise and implement departmental functions across the whole Trust.

The role requires to cover all aspects of the Job description across KHFT and HRCH.
