Mid/Senior Node Developer (Multiple seniorities available)

Salary:
Up to £65k (depending on scope of experience) + perks

Hybrid working from a central Manchester office

A dynamic FTSE 250 digital retail organisation with over 2,000 employees, our client is searching for Mid/Senior Node Developer with an affinity for agile frameworks to assist with the sourcing commercial aspects of a new financial services platform thatis being built from scratch.

Situated within a heavily invested new fin-tech start-up division of the business, you'll design, develop, maintain, and deploy a variety of complex solutions within Castle whilst also representing a digital retail giant that's revenue towers over its competitors

With the company welcoming trailblazing engineering figures that can iterate and optimise on software/automating tools, the role is fast-paced with some coaching and mentoring, but still very hands-on

Ideal applicant will have Node Microservices experience using containers

Key responsibilities:

Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors complex programs/scripts and integration software services.
Play a key role in shaping software development methods
Ensure standards and tools are aligned to engineering needs
Engage in reviews of both you and others work
Regularly create software apps
Adhere tools and techniques for specific deployment activities

What skills do you need?

JavaScript/Typescript Development
Experienced in locally debugging and deploying lambdas
Experienced with , Redux
Unit testing framework, e.g., Jest
Consumption of RESTful services, incl. JSON.

Continuous integration

Source control: Git, build (Azure DevOps/Gitlab/Other), test, audit (SonarQube), deploy
Agile development methodologies
