Role Overview:
The Job Holder's role is shared and firstly is responsible for delivering and collecting goods in a safe and timely manner and for the upkeep of the Company Vehicles, keeping them clean, tidy and in a roadworthy condition.
The other part of the role is the processing of orders and picking ready for issue to the Assembly & Test department or for delivering.
They will also be required to receipt deliveries and dispatch of goods in an effective, safe and timely manner, all via the Company's ERP system in accordance with the Company's processes and procedures.
The Job Holder will assist with general Yard and Stores maintenance and housekeeping duties as required, ensuring work equipment and areas are clean, safe and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering all goods locally via Hunting Company Vehicles efficiently in an organised manner
- Ensuring equipment and chemicals are transported in a secure and safe manner
- Obtaining signatures on all delivery notes for all goods delivered and collected, and where possible, checking goods collected against the collection note. Where this is not possible, signing the collection/delivery note as unchecked
- Ensuring the Company Vehicle is clean after each shift, is always maintained and identifying any faults or safety issues, reporting them immediately to the Store Coordinator
- Processing and picking orders assigned by the Store Coordinator
- Kit issue parts to assemblies from stores/stock and from goods receipted into stock both physically and via the company ERP system
- Taking delivery of all goods coming in, checking all parts are here and booking them into the company's ERP system
- Recording the delivery of purchased and delivered goods from external suppliers, following QC checks by Inspection
- Recording the delivery of goods from the Machine Shop, following QC checks by Inspection
- Producing and maintaining accurate records of Goods Received and Transmittal Notes
- Ensuring shelves always remain stocked and are neat and tidy
- Performing Forklift and Electric Pallet truck duties for loading and unloading of racks and vehicles
- Ensuring the packaging of goods for shipping is done effectively and in a timely manner
- Undertaking the operation of workshop cranes and forklifts as required and where training has been completed
- Work is of a physical nature, involving lifting and carrying, albeit supported by physical aids (Cranes and Forklifts etc.) and working with potentially dangerous machinery and tools.
Qualifications/Skills and Experience:
- Educated to Standard Grade level or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience in stores environment, or similar role
- Forklift Operator Certification e.g., Counterbalance Group B2 315 Tonne or previous experience
- Rigging, Slinging and Lifting Certificate (desirable)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Applications and ERP system, ideally Microsoft AX
- Good organisational skills
- Good team player, taking responsibility for own work and that of others
- Excellent communication (both written and oral), influencing and interpersonal skills
- High degree of commercial acumen
- Highly professional conduct
- Must be willing to travel and able to spend time away from home
- Must have good time management and organisational skills
