Protocol are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Exams Officer for an Education provider in the Walthamstow area.Salary:
£35,000
The person & qualifications
- Experience of working in Further Education or similar environment
- Experience of an Examinations environment.
- Experience of working with awarding organisations. For example, Pearson, AQA, City & Guilds, VTCT, registering, entries and claiming qualifications.
- Experience in using computerised information systems.
- Good administrative skills.
Duties
- With the Examinations Manager, set up, maintain and monitor appropriate systems, processes and procedures for the administration of examinations and assessments, working to and meeting strict deadlines, both internal and external.
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of student, course and examination details onto the system, together with the distribution of information to and from awarding organisations as required, ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 201
- Provide a professional and effective liaison with Awarding Organisations. Keep abreast of all changes in procedures and regulations of Awarding Organisations.
- With the Examinations Manager, provide an effective daytoday operation of the examinations function, ensuring compliance with the College's policies and procedures and the requirements of external bodies, including awarding organisations, Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and funding agencies, as well as advising staff as appropriate.
- Ensure that all examination registrations, entries and results claims are submitted on time, accurately and in line with Awarding Body guidelines and regulations.
- Assist the Examinations Manager in the processing of financial information, including the setting and assessment of examination fees.
- Liaise with awarding bodies and other external agencies, as appropriate.
- Promote the highest possible standards in customer care, equal opportunities and health and safety practices for the benefit of learners and the wider community served by the College.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults served by the College.
