Assistant
Loss Prevention Officer to be an integral part of a robust security approach which supports the company's continued growth. This is a newly created role reporting to the Head of Loss Prevention to protect the business against relevant threats and handling security and loss prevention risks.


You will support the operations teams in the
UK and occasional
European and further global teams by preventing risks and vulnerabilities as early as possible, investigating thoroughly security related incidents to prevent reoccurrence.


A background in security and/or loss prevention function is essential, be agile and flexible in approach and have strong communication and influencing skills.

Brief Description / Purpose of the function:
To protect profit and ensuring the integrity of company assets including: stock, cash, premises and employees

To ensure security operation compliances are in line with company procedures through audit, investigation and adhoc site visits.

Main areas of responsibility are as follows:

  • To support implementation of appropriate loss prevention initiatives and policies. Ensuring these are effective and utilised to mitigate security and loss risks inherent to business activities
  • Ensure all cash controls and collections processes are communicated and implemented
  • Review CCTV information as and where needed
  • Work in liaison with local managers, HR, local law enforcement, security contractors and the Head of Loss Prevention
  • Conduct and complete investigations into internal and external theft, investigate fraudulent activity and report all findings to HR and the Head of Loss Prevention
  • Data mine back of house reports with prompt identification and escalation of suspicious activity
  • Conduct stock takes for both the games and arcade business as instructed by the Head of Loss Prevention
  • Conduct site float checks where required or as instructed by the Head of Loss Prevention
  • Encourage and promote loss prevention and security awareness throughout the business
  • Undertake and manage security training for business area's within your remit as instructed by the Head of Loss Prevention
  • To conduct business in a polite and courteous manner ensuring confidentiality at all points
  • Advise the business of local security needs or best practices
  • To support the central HR function with periodic employee data reporting
  • Occasional on site staff training and mentoring in association with park managers

Person Specification:


  • GCSE or equivalent in English & Maths grade level C or above.
  • Speak a European language as well as being fluent in English.
  • Have a working knowledge of arcades, cash offices and games routines.
  • Have an audit, security or loss prevention back ground.
  • Decision making and problem solving.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise a busy work load.
  • Ability to influence others at all levels.
  • Selfmotivated and able to take initiative when needed
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Selfdirected with a high degree of self motivation
  • High attention to detail
  • Hold a security or loss prevention qualification (desirable).
  • Experience of auditing cash (desirable).
  • Experience of working with government bodies including the police (desirable).
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems and legality (desirable).
  • Technical knowledge of intruder alarms (desirable).
