Description:
The Organisation requires the services of a Switchboard Operator in the Communications Department. This position will be based at the Groenkloof National Park, Pretoria.
Requirements:
- Grade 1 7 to 12 months of experience working in the switchboard/reception environment.
- Customer service orientation
- General Knowledge of the organisation
- Office administration
- Excellent Communication skills
- Computer Literacy with sound Knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Interpersonal skills
- Telephone etiquette
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the telephone system is functional.
- Attend to all incoming calls.
- Administer the telephone system.
- Bill private telephone usage.
- Maintain and update telephone list.
- Journalise telephone bills among Departments.
- Coordinate the acquisitions and installations of telephones.
- Coordinate a maintenance service for the telephone system.
- Liaise with the external stakeholders i.e.
