About the Role
Access Creative College (ACC) is looking for new talent to represent ACC Birmingham as part of our Outreach and Events team.
Outreach and Events Officers form a key part of our marketing team and recruitment cycle, tasked with reaching out to schools, youth groups and other key local stakeholders across Birmingham and the wider region to promote ACC as a great place to study.
We have an Outreach and Events Officer at all 7 of our centres nationally, and the role is a vital part of bringing ACC and the local community closer together.
What will my average day look like?
There is no average day as an Outreach and Events Officer.
You could be calling or meeting up with careers leaders in schools to forge relationships, speaking in assemblies and classes, attending 'career marketplaces', delivering creative and tech-focused workshops to potential future students, or working with staff and student ambassadors to hold and manage exciting open events filled with activities and energy for young people and their parents/guardians to help them get to know ACC.
Another key part of this role is managing the ACC Birmingham social media accounts such as Instagram, coming up with engaging social media content to reach our target audience and grow our follower numbers.
You could be out at photoshoots with marketing, capturing behind-the-scenes content, or speaking to staff, students or partners on camera to share tips and tricks for exciting topics.
As an Outreach and Events Officer for ACC, you'll work closely with the Head of Centre and our Central Office team to reach new parts of your community.
You will also champion Birmingham as a _'creative city',_ on a national level, and create and implement new strategies and ideas with autonomy to hit recruitment targets.
About you
As an Outreach and Events Officer, you'll need:
- An outgoing and confident personality.
- A great telephone manner and computer literacy.
- Understanding of and a passion for your local community and student recruitment.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Project management, strategy and planning experience.
- Social media experience across multiple platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook etc).
- A full UK Driving Licence and access to a motor vehicle.
What do we have on offer?
Salary Scale:
£26,000 per annum, plus non-contractual OTEs
