About the role

This is a great opportunity to work for a national children's charity in a vibrant, supportive environment while knowing that you are contributing to making positive difference to the lives of children in Scotland.

We are looking for a friendly, efficient and enthusiastic team player with strong customer service skills, who is motivated to help us to deliver an effective and inclusive learning and events programme to support the children's sector.

You'll be keen to learn on the job, encouraged to identify further areas where you'd like to develop your skills and knowledge, and be supported to do so.

It's a really varied job, providing admin support to our Learning & Events team.

You will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure that our learning programme meets the needs of the children's sector.

For example, you will facilitate webinars and in person events, support the development of training materials e.g. certificates, and collate data for reporting.

The learning programme includes:

  • Online training and conferences
  • In person training and conferences
  • Networking events
- eLearning modules

  • Study visits

As a Learning & Events administrative assistant you will have an important role in supporting the successful design, delivery and evaluation of the Children in Scotland Learning Programme.

This includes jointly creating a sector-leading, innovative and financially sustainable programme that supports and connects the children's sector workforce.

Working in a busy, values-driven environment, this role provides a fantastic opportunity to work with Children in Scotland staff, partners across the sector, practitioners and children and young people themselves to support all our work and deliver our learning and events activity.

Underpinned by our values, our work is focussed on us achieving our vision that all children have an equal chance to flourish.

Our Strategic Plan and annual Delivery Plans provide the detail of how we go about achieving this.

You will be ready to hit the ground running but we will offer you an excellent induction and support through the first few months, which will then turn into longer-term development opportunities.

You will join a brilliant group of supportive staff who are passionate about making a difference to children's lives and work hard to achieve this.

About Children in Scotland
Giving all children in Scotland an equal chance to flourish is at the heart of everything we do.
