Finance Assistant

We are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant, reporting into our Finance Manager and working alongside a Finance Administrator.

The role would suit someone with previous experience of working as a Finance Assistant and we would be happy to accommodate a school hours contract.

We are a UKAS accredited microbiology contract testing laboratory based in Brackmills, Northampton.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance function through various day-to-day duties.

You will ensure the smooth running of the finance department with particular responsibility for credit control and purchase ledger.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle incoming posts, scanning, and distributing them correctly.
• Serve as a point of contact for incoming calls, accurately relaying messages and directing calls to the appropriate individuals.
• Handle facetoface and telephone client enquiries and payments, ensuring client satisfaction.
• Maintain uptodate financial records.
• Raise sales invoices for external and internal customers, reconcile sales ledger, and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accurate credit control records and proactively chase outstanding payments.
• Opportunities for progression into higherlevel roles within the finance department.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations specific to the business.
• Assist with processing pay runs and payments.
• Work accurately towards strict targets and deadlines.

Qualifications & Training:
GCSE English and Maths
AAT qualification or experience within a finance role


Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
£20,560.82-£25,414.19 per year
