Are you looking for a career in carpentry?
Due to our continuous growth, Casa Bella are looking for an apprentice carpenter to join our team.

The responsibilities will include working with our experienced carpenters in all aspects of residential carpentry, 1st fix, 2nd fix and cutting in roofs.

This is a great opportunity to join a small but rapidly expanding company.

This role is supported by the Level 2 General Furniture Manufacturer Apprenticeship provided Didac and training will be on a day release basis and will take place in Bristol

Further training will be available with the possibility of higher-level apprenticeships offered.


You will join us on a full-time basis in return for a salary up to National Minimum Wage for an apprentice per annum plus other benefits with a salary review at 12 months.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?


The qualification you would gain is the Level 2 General Furniture Manufacturer where we will be looking to partner with an accredited training provider to provide the training.

For those already completed a Level 2, there is a Level 3 option.

This training paid study time as needed up to 7 hours/1 day per week. You are expected to travel when necessary for training and/or assessments. You will be responsible to managing/arranging with your line manager.


What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?


On completion of this apprenticeship, you can progress into the Level 3 Advanced qualification or work as a qualified Junior Site Carpenter where, with more experience, you can look to progress into a senior carpentry position, site/contracts/project management, self-employment, or carpentry business owner.

You will be eligible for the Skilled Worker (Blue) CSCS Card after the level 2 qualification.


Your role and responsibilities:


As part of your apprenticeship, you will work alongside our experienced warehouse staff in the returns department making repairs to furniture which cannot currently be sold or has been returned by our customers.


You will be expected to carry out small to large scale repairs dictated by the type of damage that is present carrying out a wide range of remedial works such as filling, staining, and lacquering/waxing.

Update systems with repairs carried out and ensure all work is recorded.

You will be always supported be senior members of staff.

  • Work with the warehouse Quality Control team to pick and inspect furniture as per Quality processes and customer requirements.

Qualifications and experience:

  • GCSE or equivalent English, Maths (Grade 4 and above) desirable

Working week
Monday-Friday, weekends may be an option.

Minimum of 37.5 hours per week but potential for more depending on your own availability and the needs of the business.

Business Hours range from 8am - 8pm

CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Operative test (passed within 2 years) willing to work towards

Level 1 Certificate in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment (passed) willing to work towards

CSCS Card (valid) willing to work towards
