Paediatric Health Psychology The Service is based within County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, although forms part of the Children and Young Peoples Service of Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will work under the supervision of a Paediatric Clinical Psychologist, contributing to assessment and formulation for children and young people with a range of health needs, including Diabetes, weight management and other long-term health conditions.

The post holder will support the provision of psychologically informed care to patients under supervision of the Paediatric Health Psychology Team.

This will include individual, and group based interventions.


Childrens Learning Disabilities The South Durham LDCAMHS team is part of the Children and Young Peoples Service of Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.

The post holder will work under the supervision of a Qualified Clinical Psychologist, contributing to the assessment and formulation of children and young people with a learning disability with a range of co-occurring health needs such as anxiety, depression, trauma and Autism.

The post holder will support the provision of psychologically informed care to children and young people in the community which will include individual and group-based interventions in both home and school settings.

This will also include neuropsychological assessment of children and young people accessing the service post LD diagnosis or as part of the needs-led pathway for treatment based on NICE guidance.

All necessary training will be provided. We welcome applicants from a motivated individual, who would like to work within the Learning disabilities field.

Responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments (including cognitive and neuropsychological assessments as well as nursery/school observations), participation in multi-agency meetings, delivery of individual and group based interventions, working in multi-disciplinary teams, service evaluation and supporting service development.
