Position:

The purpose of this role is to successfully deliver our Registry Supervision and High-Risk Examination program.

The Registry Supervision team monitors the information provided to the Registry to ensure that is adequate, accurate and up to date and in line with legal reporting obligations.


  • Reduce the risk to the public of financial loss due to dishonesty, incompetence, malpractice, or the financial unsoundness of financial service providers. Responsibilities will include conducting inspections, including inspection planning, interviewing members of staff employed by the licence holder, interviewing associated parties that have a nexus to Jersey and are not part of a licence holder, conducting file reviews, reviewing documentation, leading opening, and closing meetings as required, executing reporting, and closing processes.
  • Deliver Registry Supervision Inspection programme objectives, within agreed deadlines and standards.
  • Deliver quality experience to all relevant stakeholders (internal and external) by communicating effectively and keeping them adequately informed throughout the inspection process.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, active involvement in projects and the implementation of related changes.
  • Support the Head of Registry Supervision, to deliver a highquality and expert service.


You will add value to the organisation by acting as a first point of contact and will represent JFSC whilst supporting and assisting the inspection of legal person and legal arrangements.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to understand how businesses are registered in Jersey and gain experience in AML/CFT.

This job will also provide you the opportunity to play a key part in strengthening JFSC's reputation as a financial services regulator and be involved in various projects leading to technological enhancements within JFSC.


Requirements:

If you are self-driven and enjoy working collaboratively in an adequately paced environment, this role will suit you. High attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage workload is critical. Prior experience in Financial Services industry is beneficial but not essential.
