An opportunity has become available for a motivated individual to join the Hull and East Riding Community Stroke Service as an Administrative Assistant.

The job is very varied, supporting a large team with clerical input to enable them to maximise clinical time.

You will also have an important role in speaking to patients or relatives and forwarding their enquiries to the relevant staff.

You will support the B3 Admin staff and the Operations Manager with administrative / clerical functions

This service provides specialist assessment and rehabilitation to Stroke Survivors across Hull and the East Riding.


Working alongside the admin team, you will be responsible for prioritising and performing and delegating a variety of clerical / administrative tasks including but not limited to, answering the telephone, writing discharge letters, Systm1, checking Business intelligence reporting, activity audit, minute taking etc.

Good admin support enables the clinicians to spend more time with their patients, therefore admin is an important function within the team.


The Community Stroke Service has a strong focus on clinical governance and provides a supportive framework for further learning including Stroke basedcompetencies.

This post is key to the performance of the team, and your drive and enthusiasm will help support the therapy team to deliver innovative approaches to problem solving.
