Description

Key Responsibilities
The machining of valve components in accordance with company standards and customer requirements Familiar with Fanuc / Heidenhein controls with the ability to program/ edit at the machine or via a DNC link (essential)

Ability to understand Engineering drawings

The programs and setting sheets are updated and controlled

To ensure components are machined in accordance with Route cards, Engineering drawings & Standard work

Ensure that all work undertaken is done in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety procedures

To carry out the inspection of components prior to delivery to stores

Responsible for the housekeeping and maintenance of the work and equipment

Ensure the machinery and equipment is maintained (TPM)

Experience machining materials such as Carbon steels / Stainless steels / Super Duplex / Titanium / Aluminium Bronze (preferable)

Ability to use 3D programming software - Solidcam ( not essential )


Qualifications:

Time served apprenticeship in machining

Recognised technical qualification in a related discipline (e.g. HND, Apprenticeship trained etc.)

Computer literate - use of windows based environment

Experience within a manufacturing environment

Experience in a machining role Experience of CNC Programming/machining Ability to understand Engineering drawings Understanding of Lean manufacturing tools/techniques

£26,361.00-£29,522.00 per year
