We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Locum Medical Receptionist to join our team at a well-established GP Surgery in Aberystwyth, SY23.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment diary efficiently.
  • Handle patient queries, provide information, and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Process prescriptions and other paperwork accurately.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, colleagues, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence effectively.
  • Assist with general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the surgery.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in a medical receptionist role or similar administrative position is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and medical software (experience with Vision system is desirable).
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
  • Flexibility to work full or parttime hours as required.
