Operations Executive, The Cultural Experience, New Alresford, SO24 9AZ
We sell and operate expert-led historical tours to worldwide destinations with a particular focus on classical and military history.

Our regular clientele enjoy meticulously researched and assiduously delivered itineraries in the company of like-minded erudite travellers who enjoy challenging conversation, comfortable hotels and good food all delivered to the highest of standards.


We require an experienced individual who enjoys travel and history to organise our growing portfolio of tours based out of our office in New Alresford in Hampshire.

As we are a small business, you will be involved in many aspects of the business as well as playing an influential role in its direction.


Specifically, you will:

  • Negotiate, organise and approve payment of all logistics: flights, trains, coaches, hotels, restaurants, etc.
  • Produce accurate pretour documentation for clients, guides and tour managers.
  • Administer tour budgets.
  • Administer individual client travel requirements.
  • Travel occasionally as tour manager, attend exhibitions and participate in familiarisation trips.
  • Contribute to the holistic management of the business.

Requirements:

Essential

  • A minimum of 10 years working in a senior administrative capacity.
  • Passion for travel with a good range of destination knowledge.
  • Flexible approach with an ability to thrive in a busy, fast paced role, effectively managing and prioritising workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent teamwork.
  • Exceptional customer service focus and skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Willingness to work weekends (toil).
Preferred

  • Practice in the travel industry but experience in other relevant disciplines will be considered.
  • Demonstrable passion for history.
  • Fluency in a Western European language.

£28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
