Remit

Compass Associates are exclusively working with a North-East based provider of commissioned counselling and psychological therapies services, to recruit an experienced clinician to join them as their new Clinical Lead.


The organisation has been established for over 20 years and offers psychological therapies for children, young people and adults across Teesside and beyond, who are struggling with a range of emotional health and wellbeing difficulties such as stress, bereavement, trauma and mental health conditions such as depression, PTSD and anxiety disorders.


This is a newly created role where you'd oversee the NHS-commissioned primary care mental health service and provide clinical leadership and strategic management to the service's Management and Leadership teams.

You'd work as part of the organisational senior management team and contribute to wider service development, business strategies and ensure the delivery of high quality clinical and therapeutic care.

An important aspect of this role is to liaise and nurture positive professional relationships with local NHS Trusts, GP surgeries and mental health charities in order to expand and secure further contracts.


This is an exciting opportunity for a registered and practicing clinician, who has a strong clinical background working within primary care mental health, IAPT or Talking Therapies services as well as a keen interest in service development and business strategies.


Additional details:


You'd follow a hybrid working pattern where your week would be split between working from home and the Head Office in Stockton-on-Tees.


Essential criteria:

A recognised degree in a relevant therapeutic discipline e.g. Psychology, CBT Therapy, Counselling or Psychotherapy
Professional registration e.g. HCPC, BABCP, BACP
Previous experience working at leadership level within the NHS or psychological therapies focussed settings

Interview Process

There will be two stages of interviews, (first stage being w/c 3rd April) which will be face-to-face in Teesside however the Directors are more than happy to have an informal chat in the first instance.
