Description

We are seeking a skilled Dairy Process Operator who will form part of a team ensuring the correct set up and operation of continuous flow equipment to process milk & cream.

Being a Dairy Process Operator, you will have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within this field.

The role relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and to ensure adherence to process and planning targets.

Latest use of automation & SCADA systems will aid the operation & control of the manufacturing process which will ensure the entire process is within specified procedures and Critical Process Control Points.


As a 'Process Operator', you will have experience working in a similar operation, with a proven track record of delivering results.

You'll be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change, whilst being passionate about doing the right thing for our customer's by driving quality and adhering to process.

You'll be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, working with the team to deliver great results.

You'll have an enthusiastic approach and be a strong coach, mentor, motivator, and role model to your colleagues around you, driving performance and working cross-functionally, communicating effectively across all levels.

You will have natural ability to make sound logical decisions supporting the needs of the customer and manufacturing operations.

Please Note, this position will operate on a rotational shift basis.


You'll Be Responsible For

  • Operation and control, (after training) of the Operation of the Milk Process, intake & pasteurisation systems
  • Full control of the automated process control systems.
  • Carry out all relevant quality and process control checks.
  • Carry out plant repairs and routine maintenance.
  • Ensure that all daily stock records are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure that food hygiene policy and food GMP procedures are always implemented.
  • Comply with company and specific factory requirements.
  • Ensuring required samples are taken for testing by the technical department.
  • A good technical understanding of some of the milk processes, or an ability to learn.
  • Demonstrable understanding and willingness to comply with all food safety standards.
  • Deliver products according to plan.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure correct sequencing of products for production process.
  • Working with planning manager as required to monitor and manage any quality issues.
  • Checking and controlling the daily output
